To start the meet off against Fergus Falls our girls got 1st and 2nd in the 200 medley and did not let up the lead from that point on. Emma Yao, Greta Overlein, and Sara Hennemann scored 1st, 2nd, and 3rd spot for the 200 free. Megann Jobin went a 2:10.85 in her 200 free putting within a second of a best time and having the fastest 200 free of the meet. Sartell also put up a 1,2,3 win in the 50 free with 8th grader Maddy Francois winning it all. In diving with a first place win from Hailey Westrup our girls reeled in another 1,2,3 win against Fergus. Holly Lenarz and Emma Yao continue their fantastic season with a 1,2 finish in the 100 free with teammate Greta Overlein placing 3rd. No surprise here when Lauryn Kramer put up yet another win in the 500 freestyle coming within seconds of state cut. With a time of 5:29.23, Lauryn Kramer now has a top ten position in Sartell’s ALL TIME BESTS. Sartell also took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 200 free relay creating their own competition. Top two relays were separated by less than a .3 of a second making it a real nail biter. Heidi Lenarz swimming back to back races took yet another win in the 100 breast and 100 back with a time putting are also under the top ten in Sartell’s ALL TIME BESTS. In the 400 free relay the girls performed exceptionally well with the captains relay of Morgan VanBeck, Meleah Myhrwold, Liberty Johnson, and Heidi Lenars, taking the win. Sartell Girl’s Swim and Dive Team are expected to take on Apollo and Alexandria next week.
