Sabres News · Sartell Sabres Girls Swim and Dive Team Swim to CLC Conference Victory

The Sartell Sabres Girls Swim & Dive Team swam in the CLC Conference Championship meet in Alexandria MN this weekend. The Sabres swam to a first place win for the 11th year in a row!! Highlights from the meet:

The 200 Medley Relay Team of Heidi Lenarz, Emma Yao, Holly Lenarz and Madeline Francois started the meet off with a 1st place All Conference win. Nice job girls and way to start the meet with a win!

Faith Akervik swam to a 2nd place All Conference win in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Teammate Megann Jobin took 6th place.

The 200 Yard Individual Medley proved strong once again with Heidi Lenarz taking 1st place All Conference and her sister, Holly Lenarz swimming to a 2nd place All Conference win. Kajsa Finnern placed 12th and Sara Hennemann placed 14th.

The 50 Yard Freestylers echoed their strength with Lauryn Kramer taking 1st place All Conference and teammate Madeline Francois placing 3rd place All Conference. Liberty Johnson placed 5th and Janie Martin placed 9th.

The Sabre Divers persevered the day with Hailey Westrup placing 3rd All Conference and teammates Morgan Weber placed 9th and Ivy Senn placed 15th.

Holly Lenarz swam to a 1st place All Conference win in the 100 Butterfly while Emma Yao placed 9th and Meleah Myhrold placed 12th.

The 100 Yard Freestyle was strong as Lauryn Kramer placed 2nd All Conference, Madeline Francois placed 4th, Liberty Johnson placed 6th and Janie Martin took 10th place.

Our distance 500 Yard Freestylers took the All Conference sweep with Heidi Lenarz placing 1st All Conference, Faith Akervik 2nd place All Conference and Megann Jobin 3rd place All Conference. Greta Overlien placed 12th.

The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay of Johnson, Martin, Yao and Kramer narrowly swam to a 1st place All Conference win to keep the momentum of the meet alive.

Macy Dockendorf had a strong 100 Yard Backstroke placing 3rd All Conference. Sienna Albjerg placed 7th and Meleah Myhrwold placed 13th.

The 100 Yard Breaststroke had all 4 teammates in the top 16. Sara Hennemann took 3rd place All Conference while Emma Yao placed 4th, Kajsa Finnern placed 15th and Kaitlyn Lysen placed 16th.

Our final swim ended with the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Kramer, Holly Lenarz, Johnson and Heidi Lenarz taking 1st place All Conference.

The Sabres will now prepare for the MSHSL Section 6A meet on November 7th in Alexandria MN.
