What a way to kick of the post season! The Sartell Sabres gymnastics team won the Central Lakes Conference Championship for the first time in school history!! The team posted a season high 148.4 to clinch the title! Not only that, but the team also broke the school record and CLC record on the uneven bars with a team total of 37.75!!


Coming off a team loss to Perham on Thursday, the Sabre gymnasts came into this meet more focused and energized than ever! They had their eyes set on the schools first ever CLC gymnastics team title, and they showed up to compete! The girls competed with excellence and grace and made their teammates, coaches and fans proud!


On top of the two new records, the Sabres also had a season high score on the vault with a 37.8! Junior Marley Michaud lead the team tying a school record on the bars with a 9.8 and scoring a personal best in the all around with a 37.725. Marley placed first in both of these events, as well as the floor exercise!


Here are the Sabres top finishes. On Vault, in 3rd, Carly Yang with a 9.475, and in 2nd, Marley M. On bars, in 3rd, Carly Y with a 9.45, in 2nd, Ali Boschee with a 9.6, and in 1st, Marley M with a 9.8. On Beam, in 3rd, Emma Schwartz with a 9.25. On floor, in first, Marley M with a 9.475. And in the all around, in 4th, Emma S with a 36.7, in 3rd, Carly Y with a 36.875, and in 1st, Marley M with a 37.725!

The Sabres had a total of 9 personal/season bests at this meet! And the great part about this team is we still have more in the tank. It wasn’t the teams best beam day, and that just means there is more to come!
