The Sartell girls soccer team defeated Rocori Tuesday night by a final score of 12-0. The Sabres got off to a fast start building a 5-0 halftime lead behind a hat trick from sophomore Reese Kloetzer. The Sabres controlled the ball and dictated the pace of play throughout the match allowing eight different players to tally goals and recording assists on 6 of the teams 12 goals. A strong Sabres defense led by seniors Lauren Jaenisch, Lauren Schmitz, and Hannah Hackenmueller helped Chloe Swanson and Anna Lundeen combine for the shutout. Swanson added a goal and an assist making her one of the few Sabres to ever record a save, a goal, and an assist in a single match. Kendal Coffin and Shopie Speckhard each added two goal and Chloe Turner, Reese Geiger, Bella Zerafa, and Morgan Cromwell all scored in the match. Christa Meyer, Sophie Speckhard, Madi Kruse, Claire Quinn, and Riley Kloetzer all tallied assists on the night. The Sabres are off Thursday and return to action Tuesday at home against Sauk Rapids at 5pm.
