Sartell/Sauk Rapids scored three goals in the the third period to come back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat cross town rival St. Cloud 4-3 on Friday night. Erika Johnson picked up her first career goal midway through the third period and it proved to be the game winner.
Lauren Wensel tallied two goals on the evening for the Strom’n Sabres, while Kelly Carriere added a goal and an assist.
Chloe Stockinger was again brilliant in goal stopping 42 of 45 shots on the night including a penalty shot from Gabbie Rud when the score was 3-3.
Sartell/Sauk Rapids is now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the CLC. Their next game is Tuesday at Buffalo. The next home game is Friday, November 22nd vs. Alexandria.
